I saw the clips and it looks pretty damn good. The reviewer said it is compelling, but he had to say something like "I only watch the films and review them". One of the newscasters said that they got a lot of email from people complaining that this reviewer was endorsing the film and he had to make it clear that he is just reviewing it. Unbelievable. They showed the clip of shrub saying we have to get the terrorists, blah blah blah...then he says "Watch this drive". I can't wait to see this movie.
When I saw the trailer I was actualy suprised by the use of that clip as the last one. I personaly thought it was a very week clip. Just about what you would expect of any pres. Ambushed on the gulf course. Extreamly funny but not a real strong political point.
6. Strange, I thought it was jaw-droppingly strange
I saw the clip for the first time in a 9-11 trailer. Up until now I thought Dubya was just fairly stupid and a sock-puppet. Having seen that I think he's psychotic (or more accurately has some sort of narccisitic disorder).
I had seen it before. I wonder how "moderates" or "swing voters" or whatever will see it.
Personaly I think there are a lot better clips that one could use. 'Whats the diffrence' comes to mind as does the 'four question international relations quiz'.
I guess I am just thinking ok.. so im the president and Im out on this golf course and some idiot asks me are other countries doing enough about terror or whatever... so what's he suposed to do?
Basicaly what response would have made you say gee thats about what I expected in that circumstance.
12. To me that is NOT the point. The point is that the guy is ALWAYS on
vacation and spent something like 42% of his first year in office doing little or nothing but "getting away from is all" and that is because he is bone LAZY. Believe me I know I had just had way too many years of his lazy destruction of Texas before he stoled the presidency.
He is completely LAZY. Should be a better way to show that though. Voice-over would help on that point and you probobly dont want voiceover on the closing clip.
I agree he has that atatude but I don't know if this is a clear example. I am not sure this was the time/place for any president to address something in an involved intelectual manner.
But then I guess I could see some president chatting with the reporters for the next few holes about the situation.
that they have a choice or that he isnt an absentee president. Not even saying don't use the clip. I just thought that particular clip was a bit weak for the tie up of the trailer. Thought there was better stuff you could use as a parting message.
