i was taunted by a freeper
on a board i used to hang out on (basicaLLy as the onLy american LiberaL)... i went back to visit because there's a spike in pro bush activity whenever there's a beheading and such..

I get the strong feeling that you’re going to have a very tough time over the next 6 months, my friend. With Bush’s poll numbers on the rise, American support for the war in Iraq increasing, Iraq being handed by to a (somewhat) democratic government (with the Iraqis taking swift and harsh action against the Syrian, Armenian, Iranian, and Saudi terrorists there), and the probable victory for the Republicans in November, it is likely to be a depressing season for those who want “anybody but bush in ’04.”

my quick response:
not at aLL my partisan friend. i know you're excited that bush got the reagan bounce, but if history of his previous bounces (saddam capture, thanksgiving visit) are any indication.. in about 10 days his numbers wiLL drop beLow 44 (where it was before the bounce).

temporary bounces don't frighten me. at this point kerry couLd get breast impLants, accept the officiaL endorsement of NAMBLA, and seLect an inanimate carbon rod as his running mate and he'LL stiLL win easiLy.

shouLd i start a new thread next week - when more Leaks of bad news come out and bush drops in the poLLs - taunting you on what you're gonna do come november?

if anyone wants to heLp bust him good.. pLease do. he's active in the washington state repubLican party.

7. And they will never
admit that GW has unleashed chaos all over the world. I felt Paul Johnson would not be rescued, but I did pray. Everything that has happened in the last 3 years has been the result of GW being in the presidency. I do not know if 9/11 could have been prevented but everything after has been lies and more lies.

2. If a conservative thinks you are down, they take pleasure in kicking you.
Tells you a lot about their character.

Why do you capitalize all your L's (and nothing else)?

And how do you remember to do it every time one comes up?

12. No, I said if he *thinks* you are down.
He made the assumption that you would be down and have a rough 6 months based on his own distorted view of Iraq and the recent polls. It seemed to me he was gloating about what he perceived to be your state of mind over the next 6 months.

I know he was wrong and that you aren't down but his self righteousness got in the way of his assessment of how you really feel.

16. Sniffa, do you have a link to your post with all the Putin quotes?
I would love to have them. Thanks

I was so outraged this morning. I was wondering what Bush promised Putin to make that statement. Easing trade relations? Forgiving debts?

6. What really scares me is that
despite the almost entirely bad attention the Bush regime is getting, that the death of someone that hasn't been in power for 24 years would be enough to get Bush re-elected. If nothing else, that's what scares me about this country.

That’s fine with me. I know that we’re likely to see his poll numbers drop again. I’m no neophyte at this little game. Nevertheless, I do predict that Bush will win in November. Being a fellow student of history it might interest you that Mike Dukakis was ahead of Bush sr. by 17 points at this time in ’88.

You have to admit: considering how much has gone wrong for GWB over the last few months, his numbers ought to be in the toilet right now. It’s not the Republicans who are spasming into hysteria these days, it’s the Democrats. They just can’t figure out what will work against this guy.

Oh. Choosing Kerry was a mistake. Hasn’t that been pretty clear for some time now?

And ol’ Karl Rove hasn’t even opened up on Kerry yet. 19 years of Senate votes. Sheeeeeit. This is going to be fun.

Pathetic.

15. sucky sucky
he responds.. (see above under "ken responds")

and i go Like this see:

i'LL give you that, he's definateLy weathering the storm, but for how much Longer? it'LL get to the point that most wiLL disapprove of bush because they're sick of hearing about it - Like cLinton's penis, cLinton murdering 49 peopLe, and hiLLary being a Lesbian.

as for dukakis comparisons.. do i need to cite the 92' numbers? (hint: cLinton was 3rd behind bush and perot). different time, different pLace.

as for picking kerry, it was not a mistake (the onLy mistake wouLd have been Lieberman.. or maybe Larouche). if rove is gonna run on kerry's record that's fine... it just shows bush has no record to run on. kerry's a career poLitician who hasn't even begun unLeashing his big guns (i've seen them Live and up cLose when my hero - yes hero - biLL weLd Lost a doubLe digit Lead in the poLLs in a matter of days).

21. Ask Him If One Poll Makes a Trend, then Show Him the Graph of
Bush's polling trends and ask him if he's blind or if he sees the trend.
