My cat has been missing for a week, and I've finally resigned myself to the fact that she is gone forever. Her mother abandoned her as a kitten because she was small and sick, and the vet told me to "put her down" because she would be sick her whole life. She wasn't sick even one day after that in 9 years.

I miss her, even though she was mean to everyone but me.

11. It's weird

It seems every day it is driven home to live every day like the last, I've had a good life (by my standards anyway) and don't have anything to complain about. The kids have turned out to be good people on their own. I actually developed a product that has lasting value to the nation (saving the taxpayers millions of dollars, so the navy tells me) but I am missing something that I can't figure out what it is. maybe I'll learn something in the future but, for now, I'll go on the way things are unless my circumstances change.
I guess what really makes me feel weird is that I shouldn't have anything to complain about though I still feel guilty.
Hah! maybe I'm high maintenance. I'm the problem.
Life goes on. Maybe another time and another place things would be different.

I guess I've made a difference but it doesn't feel like anything.
I'm just a child of the sixties, what can I say?
on edit: the ear thing wasn't intentional. It was the best I could find in the enticons. LOL

Life and death stuff - - and bringing my work home with me.

I've been caring for a newborn baby that 3 weeks ago was not expected to live, today he's beginning to thrive.
