4. No job offers
our contract here runs out July 31st and a new contractor comes in.
HR is supposed to interview us next week and the new contractor wants to talk as well...but the prospects are bleak and unrewarding.

5. Your plans?
Is it a temporary layoff or permanent? Did you enjoy your work or are you just working to pay your bills?

At any rate, I am sorry to hear about your situation but sometimes good thing happen as a result of the bad.

6. My job is a joke...
but I needed the money.

Nope, my plans are simple...and those are to work work work against the tick of the clock.
So we can finish the great escape vehicle itself....
So we can enterrrr the eighth dimension AND FREE OUR TRAPPED COMRADES...
So we can return home AND SEIZE POWER ONCE AGAIN!
WHAT IS THE GREATEST JOY!?
:)
Oops sorry, was channeling Lord John Whorfin there all fine now.
:)
Ah...I it's funny I started this job the day after my candidate Paul Tsongas dropped out of the presidential race in 1992.
And now John Kerry looms up beautiful before all men...
Funny how that works.
***
As for my real plans...if I do end up unemployed as of July 31st...I plan to go to the beach, pout, whine and wallow in self pity.
:)

7. Will you be able to collect unemployment?
or do you think they'll try to screw you out of it?

8. Right now...it looks like I will be able to collect
assuming that my company can't secure me a job elsewhere and the new contractor doesn't make me an offer.
But I am keeping an eye on the situation I don't work for the most employee friednly outfit in the world.
