I had a weird dream last night....
I was walking around a nearby town, headed to a pub to meet some friends. I looked up and saw a very large spider hanging from a web. Then I looked around and saw spiders everywhere...some fairly small, some enormous, like the size of a medium-sized dog.

I wasn't frightened at all, just amazed by them, and careful to avoid disturbing them. Just as I was about to go into the pub to join my friends, I looked up and saw the largest one of all...the body about 6' long, lying in a web. My eyes nearly popped out, and I exclaimed, "Now THAT'S the biggest damn spider I ever saw!" And I went into the pub.

Once inside, I saw a percussion player friend of mine from years ago who'd just played a symphony concert. He'd decided, since it was his birthday, that he'd wear a special tux for this performance. It was made of white damask (yes, the stuff grandma's best tablecloth was made of); and I imagined how people in the audience must have stared at the oddball outfit through the whole concert. And I laughed.

Sometimes I think my dreams exist solely as proof of my insanity.

4. The spiders were all of your previous conductors
The Tuxedo was the percussionist playing what he wanted to play instead of what he had to play...you laughed wondering what the audience must think because you want to play it the way you want to play it and worry about that in real life.

Disclaimer: The above was all bullshit...I pull this crap on TROF all the time and HE falls for it :D

7. You were a Black Widow spider in the dream
You wanted to mate with the percussionist, AND THEN STING HIM TO DEATH as all Black Widows do to their mates. That's why you weren't afraid of the other spiders. Oh yes, and, the big spider was your father.

14. I will guess that you are a bit of a counter phobic type who tends to make
light of fears that actually due frighten you, and that you drink to help yourself cope with your fears in this manner. This is not meant as a criticism whatsoever. We all have to cope with what is the dangerous condition called being alive. Ultimately we all die and along the way experience the death of many we care about and love.Try not to harm anyone and show some kindness when you can. This does not mean, do not defend yourself when you must. We all owe it to ourselves to defend ourselves against those intent on doing us harm. This is a simple set of rules I try and live by. ...Oscar

15. That's the interesting thing...
Here I was in this pub, and I didn't have a drink. I was just there to socialize.

16. Your forum name is GoddessOfGuiness, just maybe your dream is telling
what you really need is the friendship, comradeship, connection with Friends, etc., you find at the pub, but that there is a very real danger connected with going there which is drinking alcoholic beverages. I am no sanctimonious type whatsoever. Just maybe your subconscious is drawing a picture of what your visits to the pub are for you: large and small dangers < spiders with their webs that you get caught in from time to time > and drinking leaves you vulnerable to them. Drink less and or seek Friends elsewhere. I stay away from pubs myself having had many bad experiences in and outside of them...Oscar

17. Interesting thoughts,
but in this case I don't think so. I rarely go to pubs; and when I do, I never have more than 2 beers.

My nick is not a declaration of alcoholism. It was actually given to me by someone in another forum, where I hung out for awhile.

I do enjoy good beer; but I'd rather have no beer at all than bad beer. I'm picky. :D
