3. I hope it gets better.
I'm on a ever tettering see-saw of hopeful and stressed-out most of the time. Life is not easy and relationships are even worse.
All I can give though is this  and this :).

4. As we all know, things get worse!
The above is of course the motto of Mr. Hands on the Mr. Bill Show.

Still profound and prophetic after all these years.

13. someone once told me that depression is anger turned inward
It is true. All the shame and guilt that we heap on ourselves needs to be vented. I am a private person and cannot tell you the way to vanquish your demons here. But send me a pm and I will give you my technique to send the demons booking.

16. I heard it as
'Depression is anger without the enthusiam'. Which is funnier.:D

Feel better, Jack. Just think, there really could be a Clark VP nomination soon...;) :pals:

9. You can ride it out
I'm not sure what's going on here -- if you are clinically depressed, or experiencing a very normal response to the current era -- but sounds like the former....

It ain't considered a life threatening disease for nothing....

But the truth is -- it does pass, inevitably.

I've had it periodically most of my life, and sometimes very bad. Luckily I know enough about it that I have learned to disassociate from it, to understand that it is a pathology, and not a permanent state of reality. I know that at times I am looking through darkness, and not necessarily *at* darkness....

Ride it out. You can. Find the ways that work for you. There are also pretty good drugs out there these days to get you through the worst of it.

I hope you have some good people around you. When you don't, it is very hard indeed.

I'm sorry for you, my friend, and wish it were so that you didn't have to pass in this dark place. But -- it doesn't last forever> One day it will be over, and you will find yourself trying to remember how bad it was, just as you are now probably struggling to remember what happiness and life felt like.

XOXO and many hugs to you. Also -- a gratuitous but hopefully somehow therapeutic picture of a puppy.
