Are there online resources that tell you potential diseases?
Before I go to another doc next week for 2nd opinion, I want to write down all my symptoms and go to a website where I can enter these and get a list of possible conditions.

Anybody know of any? That way, when the doc shrugs it all off as "It's just stress, there's no known reason for these symptoms, why don't you see your psychiatrist again?", I'll be able to retort with "How about w, v, x, y, or z conditions?"

My symptoms are:

tired/fatigued (which is also the likely cause for my occasional slurred speech and extra difficulty concentrating - oh, I get 8-9.5 hrs of deep sleep per night... I have ADD, but my concentration has been impacted lately.)
muscle ache and slight stiffness in extremities
MINOR occasional nausea (I first thought this was due to not eating that day, but I have eaten and still feel woozy at times.)
MINOR occasional abdominal pain (too inconsistent to use)
occasional leg spasms
constant fine tremor

Thanks!

Oh, so far I know of tardive diskenesia for the leg spasms and MS or Lou Gehrig's disease for the others with this combined, though there could be many reasons... Knowing my medical history, I think it's tardive diskenesia brought about by the wellbutrin... but that doesn't explain the other symptoms, and I've had the spasms and fine tremor for a couple years now. HIV is a possibility, too, though I don't have most of the early symptoms stated, but that's meaningless... So far I've got a good list for something that's diagnosed as being nothing except stress... :eyes:

3. Help with Hypochondria (or not)

Some of this sounds like diabetes. I won't go into the difference between Type I and Type II (I got Type I when I was 28, but others have gotten it at 60), but you can contract it without the traditional thirst and constant-pissing symptoms (see Anne Rice's recent NYTimes article).

How I felt before I was diagnosed? Lot of the same stuff you're describing. Hey, no-charge diagnoses are what they're worth. But if you've got it and you're headed towards all kind of irritability symptoms with nausea, difficulty focusing (literally as well as figuratively), abdominal distresses, woozy feelings....

Before I was diagnosed I told my wife I felt like I had a a bad hangover (ever notice how similar a hangover is to the flu?)) without having had the alcohol.

May be completely b.s. projection on my part. But it can't hurt to have your blood-sugar tested anyway.

4. For what it's worth...

That's about how I feel every day. On my good days, at least.
I've spent upwards of 40 years waiting for a Dr to tell me what's wrong. About the only thing that really fits my symptoms is fibromyalgia.

Anyway, I've learned over the past 40 years to just put up with it since modern medical science seems to be at a loss to help me.

BTW: I also have ADD which I read is often associated with fibromyalgia. (also known as fibrocytis)

and http://www.afsafund.org/

on edit: The inability to concentrate and the foggy headedness is often refered to as "fibro-fog" by fybromnyalgia sufferers.

5. Get your Vitamin B-12 level checked.
It's a two part blood test not routinely given unless you specifically ask for it. In the old days a Vitamin B-12 deficiency was known as Pernicious Anemia and it was a killer. Now it is easily taken care of with B-12 shots. Check it out.
