Well, basically... I'm gay! Yes, a lesbian!! You heard me right!! I told Mom and Dad the other day(they're still standing!) and now it's time for all of you cool people to know.

Maybe this seems strange, considering how much I have flirted with the guys here, but what can I say? You guys are all just so much fun, and I was a closet case. I love your unabashed vulgarity, your energy, and many other things about each of you. But we play for the same team, bros. :hi:

CFS has made self-awareness really hard to come by these past few years, by totally suffocating my sexual desires. So, an unexpected side effect of healing has been to realize that I am gay!! :wow: Needless to say, at times it's been as frightening as it has been exhilarating and liberating, to finally step into the light and realize who I am. Of course, in many ways it changes nothing. But it's also as though I am finally whole.

Everything in my life makes sense now, from my good friend in fifth grade repeatedly telling me how I reminded him of his lesbian aunt, to falling in love with my best girlfriend in junior high, to having a series of failed and humiliating relationships with men in my late teens. And, oh yeah, there's that awfully funny feeling I get lately when surrounded by beautiful women in their summer clothes! :D

Some go their whole lives without doing so. Not just talking about sexual orientation but so many things we repress or deny for a multitude of different reasons.

And it's hard enough finding love in this world for both straight and gay people (not to mention life being too short to waste in Blind Alleys), that it is important to know your sewxuality, one way or the other, and be condifednt and happy in it.

My dad, he knew all along I think. I have always been his buddy and he knew what a flaming butch tomboy I really was. I think hearing me say it was a bit of a shock, still. But hugs and support was all I got. :-)

My mom, it was tougher, just because she is a woman, and I think she finds it strange and a little discouraging we have so little in common. . . But she still took it well. When I said , "this doesn't change anything" she said, "well, maybe just methods of pregnancy..." :D So I knew then things were going to be OK.

My mom, who is more open-minded, sensitive and supportive, completely flipped. She was upset that I wouldn't marry. have kids, she was worried about the 'unsafe' lifestyle and AIDS and all that.

My dad, who is macho macho old school Italian, was so great about it. The only thing he said was "Are you sure?"I said-"yes" He said--"Ok, be safe". He said there is only one thing I would change about you and it's not that you're gay, it's you smoking cigarettes.

Now they're both cool with it!

She always pulled the football out from me and I never got it. I am not sure but I think she is gay. I know snoopy is gay cause he was always dancing. On halloween I only got rocks. Linus played classical so I guess thats gay. They all displayed some quirk that could be interpetted as gay.
