Godzilla and Gamera were never "shows", while Space Giants, Johnny Socko, and Ultraman flirted with film, they were weekly programs.

Still, that said, I loved The Space Giants.

Hell, Gamera only had 7 films in the can before Daiei went bankrupt.

Gamera vs. Zigra

Compare that to 100+ episodes of Ultraman.

Sorry , but I'm a Japan ex-pat, and some of the characters have different names in the US.

Speed Racer = "Mach Go-Go"

Astro Boy = "Tetsuwan (Iron Arm) Atom"

I have heard of the Ultraman TV show, but as a kid I only saw one of the movies.

My 4 year old is an Ultraman FREAK.
