P will be......
I'm gonna piss some people off with my reasoning...
No, I am not a freeper...Actually those remarks happen a lot more in General, or Late Breaking.
We had our local "relay for life" a week ago and I remembered JFK had been treated for prostate cancer about a year ago.
Googled around a little and found he had a complete prostate removal.
VERY aggressive treatment. A man who contracts the disease before 60 or even 65 , with a family history, has something to worry about.
Even with "nerve preserving" surgery the odds of "side effects" are common.
He had a Gleason of 6 (tumor marker rating),his father died of the disease. Google as I may, I can't find a public report of his PSA.
Prostate cancer in men below the age of 60 is bad, and demographically rare.
I'm afraid this issue will come out before the election and will effect his choice of VP now. Edwards and Clarke don't have the experience to take over the job day 1.
It's gonna be Gephardt...

Gephart is as exciting as gray primer.

3. Boring squared
If that's the case, guess it'll just be a very anti-* campaign.

I just gave you the reason I think Kerry will pick him.
I do think this "health" issue will raise it's ugly head.

5. Al Gore would make a good VP
I, along with most of the population, voted for him last time around, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Most Democrats feel they were robbed by Bush in the last election.

Gore is the best candidate to get out the vote. After hearing his speech recently, I believe he is the one. If Gephart or McCain are the VP candidate, Bush will probably be re-elected.

6. Gephardt would be a decent choice
A lot of folks around here don't like him, but he's extremely good at getting behind-the-scenes work done, and his record as a liberal is solid, no matter what the anti-G faction says.

I'm sure I'll have issues with him, too, but right now, solidarity and effectiveness count for more than ideological purity. Get back in power, move the national dialogue to the left ... and THEN we can have some good, hard-hitting, come-to-Jeebus-issue party reconstruction.

But driving a stake through the heart of Neo-Conservatism must come first.

I could be wrong, though.

7. I disagree - If a bad prostate cancer the effect is quick - it appears he
will be - since it has been a year and a bad prostate cancer would have continued by now to push toward death in the next few months - that he will have the usual profile of dying from prostate cancer for the next 30 years - and then dying from heart disease or some other cancer.

10. Gleason = 6 usually means a moderately-differentiated tumor
If 95% or more of the tumor is composed of one pattern, the corresponding number is counted twice.

A wholly moderately-differentiated tumor would be scored 3+3=6.

An extremely bad score - the worst score - would be 5+5 = 10

8. If he picks Gephardt, Bush will be in for 4 more, I guarantee you
Gephardt is worn out. People see through his BS. All his "support" from unions is from the suits that run them.
He could not use his influence in Iowa to do anything with Democrats, how do you think he is going to motivate independents and ABB voters?

Ridiculous.

We will know when we know.

11. If he picks Gephardt the Unions will be 110% on our team
Most of the major Unions endorsed Gephardt in the primaries. And those Unions will help campaign for us down the stretch.

I'm not a big fan of Gephardt, but he could be of some use for us on the ticket.

13. Gep also voted against welfare reform, NAFTA, WTO
it's interesting that these are issues many democrats and liberals on here claim oppose but then they are so opposed to the one guy kerry is considering who has actually opposed and voted against these things. and all because they think he is boring. i personally don't think he is boring.

15. The rank and file did not do too much for him in Iowa,...
just the suits.
I frankly don't see it.

14. Well, I heard rumors in another direction.
There are plenty of theories and speculation to go around. and every source has it's claims to credibility as well.
