Ore. Town Passes Anti-Nudity Ordinance
ASHLAND, Ore. - Thinking of streaking downtown? Better think twice. City councilors in this southern Oregon town have just passed an anti-nudity ordinance, prohibiting genital exposure downtown and in public parks.

Some residents opposed the ordinance, saying it infringes on personal freedom.

"I prefer that we not be legislating morality," said resident Paul Copeland. "I have a problem with the proposed language of the ordinance. If your neighbor is mowing his lawn naked or doing objectionable things, I don't believe the police are the right way to resolve your dispute."

He suggested making nudity legal if it were a political or artistic expression.

3. Maybe they're hopelessly confused!
A reaction to complaints about too many bushes in the city parks...People complaining about having to deal with all the assholes downtown...
Did the city council vote on this in public, or will they cover up the members that stood up and voted for it?

8. Yes. But, I've never seen any nudity whenever I've visited.
Maybe it's a winter phenomenon?

5. It's only about genitals though.
Topless women downtown is still acceptable.
