So, how can I best ribb my Dad for his conservative party sign
On the front lawn?

How about "So Dad, you wanna send me to war?"

1. Go to oil for war.
Ooops, go to war for oil or suffer the lack of it at home.

With *, the future is crystal clear.

Lord knows what Kerry's going to do, but I'd rather take that chance.

Kucinich would be the first President since Kennedy to work for the people, but (a) nothing would get passed and (b) it's far too late...

3. If your dad is wealthy or above average financially, this...
...won't work. Mine is about average, but has a lot of friends and relatives who are very poor. So I have been bombarding my dad constantly with the fact that Republicans don't represent poor or working poor people.

4. Well, my dad isn't "wealthy"
But my folks have money. He owns a small office supply company.

He's actually a huge advocate for the working poor. And other liberal causes, which is why I DON'T UNDERSTAND why he always does this.

8. Just keep reminding him...
...that conservatism is corporate funded and that means lack of interest in being advocates of social causes.

Paste pictures of poor people and their abodes all over his refrigerator and bathroom mirror. Preferrably, children. Be shameless in it.

5. Just ask him if he is voting for
Kerry then. Why would a conservative vote for Bush*? He isn't the conservative, he's a deficit spending, chickenhawk that's taking away our civil liberties and has the government interfering in all aspects of out lives. Gasoline and food prices rising can be construed as a consumer tax.

7. So your Conservatives are more
like our 'Centrist Dems' then? But you all seem to be doing so well with your Liberal Party why change and become more like the US? Canadians aren't for this war.

9. I know...the problem is
People don't think the cons have a real shot at getting in, so they'll disregard the war issue and vote for them because the liberals had a huge scandal recently.

10. And live with that decision until the next election?
Say it ain't so. Canadians are our shining example of sanity. We may be the big bullies but you know we all got Canada-envy.

15. Ask him about the Alliance Party
or CRAP, if you will. Specificaly, since the PC's would not join them, who the hell was it that they were supposed to be allied with.

Two words "Stockwell Day"
Two other words "Preston Manning"
"Stephen Harper" nothing new about these two words.

16. Here's something I've noticed, HEy
I don't know about your area, but here in Calgary there seem to be very few lawn signs than usual this time around, only about a quarter, I'd say. Wonder why. FWIW, I think lawn signs are stupid, all you're doing is telleing everyone who you're voting for.
