I like SUV's and really don't care what you think
Man, I need an SUV because, well, I have to haul around dead bodies and big loads of wood. Yes, the gas mileage isn't good but hey, I'm a Democrat, so it's okay if I drive one because I recycle. So, any of you people that judge me because I claim to love the environment and drive an SUV can kiss my white ass. (sarcasm turned off)
DISCLAIMER: If you need a big vehicle for your job I understand, if you don't, and still drive one, please don't claim to be an environmentalist.
Peace.

1. If you don't care what we think, why are you giving justifications?

8. Your post is a fine example
What you've said in your post offers a good argument for reading the entire message before reacting.

I'm in agreement with columnist Charley Reese that part of living in a free country means that there shouldn't be laws prohibiting things like owning an SUV. I also think that the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) contradicted their own cause when they torched apartments being constructed in the San Diego area and also torched SUV's in other California cities. What's the point of destroying the environment in protest to these things? Their latest campaign is hypocritical.

Personally, I only wish that I could convince consumers to reject SUV's, especially those that claim to care about the environment and also criticize the Bush Cartel for its oil wars and special favors to oil industry bosses.

10. Californians attack SUV's and Hummers
Apparently, it happened last night. I'm glad I didn't hear it was going to happen because I may have participated. I understand that people who go to the mountains and have a whole bunch of kids or really need one for work. But these people who get them just for their their own comfor and so that they can be bullies on the road SICKEN me! The last of understanding regarding gas mileage, dependence on foreign oil, the enviornment, etc. causes me to shake my head in disbelief - but then I've been shaking my head in disbelief since 12/12/00

12. How many soldiers per gallon?
Ask yourself that when you pay your $2/gallon. Also, I saw a great bumpersticker: Is your luxury more important than your child's air?
