Chances you had to do a bad (but oh so good) deed with a friends S/O?
I was in my apartment in NB, to good friends came up for the weekend. We got Right trashed. Her boyfriend got so fucked he went to bed early. Now, I was first friends with the girl.

Anyway after a while it was her and I on the couch, she snuggled up close and started rubbing my leg saying things like "You know if Jeff wasn't around, you'd be the first guy I'd go for."

I eventually managed to push her to bed and went to sleep on the couch. She came out five mintues later - naked.... I spent about ten mintues convincing her to go back to bed. Her and Jeff were a great couple and she was just really wasted. Eventually she went.

As if I'm gonna have sex with the girlfriend of one of the people I respect most in the world...plus the guy who, no matter what he has to do, meets me at the airport to give me a ride to stay at his girlfriends, after a few drinks of course.

What gotme is when I was telling the story to my roomate who said "So what, your loyalties don't lay with him"

A few months later that prick cheated on his wife...in a threesome I backed out of...then I heard him lie to her about where he was the next morning.

You?

But I was serious - you did a good thing. That guy sounds like jerkus maximus of the first order.

9. Right, but he probably gets lots of positive reinforcement on that score
Being a jerk can be attractive--I've shifted from that to the Daoist school of dating. He who does not compete has no competition, eh? Eh?!

.

It does actually work, but only after you've given up faking it enough to actually carry through with it--sort of the 'sticks and stones' paradox there....

11. Rabid jerkism never been attractive to me
Although, looking at my soon-to-be-ex-husband, perhaps I'm wrong in saying that. :eyes:

10. My roomy...yeah
After a while girls wouldn't even come to the apartment because of how much of a creep he was.

Funny thing is, this is the guy I met who lived 5 miles form me my whole life that I never met...he's older...I actually know his daughter's friend....how I'd love to squel, but it's none of my business.

6. I should add
It was HARD, she's beautifal. And she is also a hell of a great girl, and I not a life long cheat - just really wasted at the time.

The funny thing was the mornig after she was embarrassed and said repeatedly "DOn't tell Jeff!"

She never has believed I didn't look while she was naked...but I didn't.

5. I've been propositioned by some of my husband's friends.
A few times. I have no interest in them.

15. Oh boy!
Back in the day, I was the one all my friends boyfriends/husbands/whatevers came to when they were lonely or horny.

I was perennially single and sarcastic, (in the movie version of this story, my role would be played by Janeane Garafolo, if you know what I mean) and always got along with the guys really well. But anytime there was trouble in their paradise, they'd come crying to me.

I never went for it. Its not that I wasn't attracted to one or two of them. I just had way more of an investment in my friendships and wasn't willing to trash that. I knew them pretty well anyway and knew they weren't really interested in me, except for the moment.

In retrospect, I'm pretty glad of my restraint. I have more long term friendships from that time period than almost anybody I know, both male and female.
