Comet/Asteroid/End of the world hoax revealed.
The claimed source for this widespread end of the world hoax is a victim of identity theft. The whole series of posts that started the flap are fradulent.

5. Was it that one guy named "AussieBloke" who seemed crazy/mental???
Edited on Mon Jun-07-04 08:33 PM by northwest
There was a thread on that a week ago or so linking to a Bush website. The guy typing that stuff seemed really psychotic.

But just for future reference, if it's not on this site,

http://www.spaceweather.com

It's NOT true.

6. Well, there is an Asteroid they're concerned about...
But it's not projected to hit for about 800 years. We were talking about it this morning in Astronomy.
