What's wrong with my skin? (gross)
I've been relatively acne-free for years.

Suddenly I've got a huge patch of something on my chest that is basically a batch of sebacious cysts - about a hundred of them. They're way beyond zits. How do I get rid of them? No, I'm not putting vitamin A creme on there.

Nothing really has changed in diet etc. except I went tanning two weeks ago.

1. Keep them clean and dry.
And call your doctor. ASAP.

3. There is a bad skin infection making the rounds...
Causes tissue loss. Is nearly totally resistant to antibiotics. Bad shit.

Get thee to a doctor ASAP.

6. Tanning can do it. Some people have an alergic reaction.
Stay away from tanning booths! It may take a while to heal.

7. Sounds like skin infection
Can spread through hair follicles.

Sometimes they tell you to put a hot washcloth in place and put Saran wrap over that to draw out the infection. But whatever you do, don't skip seeing a doctor.

9. Stress can cause skin rashes and blemishes too. DO see a doctor
though, and take regular vitamins. I had something similar and took a bath in epsom salts to both dry and heal it...it went a way in a few days. But wouldn't do this or anything till you see a dermatologist or other doctor.

10. Sounds like a bacterial infection, which you may have gotten from the
tanning bed. If it's as bad as you say it is, see a doc and they will prescribe one of the "miacins", which should wipe it out with a ten day course. DO see the doctor and don't mess with the cysts or try to drain them as they can pop INTO your blood stream and cause a blood infection.
