1. So many it would break your heart
over the last 50 years. My neighbor has two "found" dogs, and I'm about to have one also.

3. too, too many
but the world's most beautiful dowager dog, a black lab mix that was found living on the streets of downtown as a 6 month (?) old pup is still going strong 16 years later!

now that i live out in the country not a year goes by some a-hole doesn't dump a dog out here. we've been lucky and managed to get rid of em all - so far...

4. Didn't you get the memo? People who live in the country
jut love to have you dump your puppies and kittens in their yards. They have PLENTY of room on the farm and 50 or so extra dogs won't make any difference!

The truly sickening thing is that many people really think this way!

5. We got out dog from the expressway when I was younger
She was a 6 month old puppy and someone tossed her out of the car and we stopped and picked her up.

She was a Rhodesian Ridgeback and she lived for 15 years.

I hate irresponsible Dog and Cat owners.

6. that is how I got my first dog...
She was "loose". I was doing some work on a house in a pretty low income area. It was February, and it was a raining 35 degrees. I saw just the tiniest of puppies (maybe 3 lbs) gimping around, and hiding under a parked/dead car. I was in and out of the house all day and noticed this puppy not being cared for. So I knocked on the door of the house and asked if this was anyone's dog, and if they wanted it. I think it was one of the younger kids dog. Yea, young kids, probably below 10 can take care of a dog. So I drove the puppy to the vet, and then to my apartment. I had figured either I would keep her or find a good home for her. Well, as always probably happens, no "good home" was found, so she was stuck with me. She is still alive and kicking. She is around 7 years old. Great dog, I am happy to have her as my bud...Kevin.
