I've had a ROTTEN, MISERABLE DAY!!!!!!!
:(

Why in order to pay the rent we essentially have to spend our precious time with people who just are not very nice human beings? Why do I even STILL care?

Here goes.....

this is what set me off....

another "little party" or office get together thing (very casual) that I wasn't told about by so-called friends or pals. :(

It was X's 40th birthday. I like X, I used to work with her and she and I are friendly.

Y is the office gay guy who used to be very funny, but can be very nasty to people. Z is his little female friend. Really wants a relationship with a guy, but hanging around gay guys isn't the answer, hon. :eyes: Generally, she is okay....

S thinks Y is just so cute and so funny, yet doesn't like me. Very phony and thinks everyone just loves her cause she's so sickening sweet to them. Little does she know what some people think of her.......

Well, I hear about this little get together, that S,Y, Z, and others manage to attend in X's office.
X hates S, but S likes to pretend everyone loves her. Y is biting and very "not nice" to X and practically everyone else. Z doesn't mind, even though Y can be nasty (behind her back, of course) about Z.

Well, I decide to go over and wish X a happy day.....well, when I knocked on the door, S said in a snotty ass voice, it's **** and I tell you the look on Y's face was one of disgust.

Like, okay, I should be used to things like this, these people are like that, but in my state (major family things going on, MAJOR!) being hurt like this just made something in me snap. What the hell wrong did I do?

So, I email T, a good pal of mine, and said, in my bitter mood, thanks for letting me know about things? (I always tend to rant to the poor guy when I'm in a bad mood)
Well, things escalated, why are you always dumping on me, I didn't do anything wrong (T said, and he was perfectly right) I said a few snotty assed things, and he said well not to email him.

Later on I apologized (after I cooled down) so I hope eventaully he will accept my apology because I am truly sorry I was nasty to him (that's me all over, somebody makes me mad and I take it out on somebody completely innocent)

Hopefully, things will blow over....... :(

1. Office Politics
So if S goes out with E and brings X what would that make it?

Office politics does suck, I tend to stay away from it, as it has
stabbed me several times.

2. Remember they are people you work with
not your friends. Don't invest in them emotionally because office politics suck. You have other friends and we would never treat you that way. I am sure you have friends in real life too, who are kinder than the office snots you are talking about.
I hope T does forgive you because it really was not his fault and he seems like the only worthwhile person there besides you.

4. some days are like that , yet.........
Sometimes the work place is not a very friendly place, but please just do somethin nice for someone who really doesn't expect it. It can change you will look at things. I started a drive to collect goodies , snacks ,food , and drinks to ship to soldies in Iraq who do not receive anything. It is really a very worthwhile and very much appreciated by these guys who are putting thier lives on the line everyday. You will forget about all the little bullshit things that go on at work. Rise above it.
just something that works for me.O8)

5. Here's your new mantra:
"I won't waste my emotions on shitheads"

Say it many times. I can't tell you what wonders it's done for me!

~hugggggggs~

6. Friendly aloofness is the way I finally learned to go
with interoffice ways and means.

And never send e-mails when mad.

7. "People Are Strange"
That is my motto. I've had a few weird-ass things happen with people I thought were my friends. You can't internalize much of it, otherwise it will drive you crazy. I figure we're lucky if we each have a few genuinely great friends in our lifetimes. Most people never become more than acquaintances (even those we see regularly).

I send you hugs through cyberspace.

8. Thanks for the support guys....
I'm more worried about my pal whose feelings I hurt. He's not one to hold grudges, but I still hurt him, so I hope he accepts my apology. :(
