I would very much like to apologize for my stupidity last night

I posted a thread about the death of a felow DU'er that at the time was meant as a comment on "death threads" and as a joke. It was stupid and in bad taste and I feel awful about it, as I did last night just after I saw the initial responses to it.

Thankfully the Mods got rid of it quickly but I felt that I owed an apology.

I violated the rule about citing someone else in a thread and the timing couldn't have been worse. This weekend is supposed to be about remembering those who have given their lives in service to our country and toward furthering the ideals that make this nation the greatest on this planet.

Again I couldn't be more sorry. If you feel like telling me how much of an idiot/moron I am or if you would like to admonish me feel free-I diserve it. Please no "it's okay" responses because it isn't. I will kick this myself to make sure everyone sees that it isn't true and that I am very sorry.

But your post ( this one ) was very classy. I know how things get around here. Some folks are less receptive to tongue-in-cheek posts than others. For whatever reason, I knew it was a parody, but others didn't and were very saddened. I was glad to see it go quickly too.
