I Just Graduated from High School
Edited on Fri May-28-04 07:30 PM by oostevo
I'm not quite sure why this is quite relevant on a politics board, but I just felt like sharing.

It was overall quite a fun time, though for some reason Pat Robertson decided to glare at me throughout the entire event *shudder*.

Edit:
Oh, right, I forgot: I suppose I'm supposed to say, "Ask me anything" (tm).

1. Hey, congrats
I remember my graduation night. No wait, I don't remember that night. My mistake. ;)

Cheers! Enjoy being a grown up. Better yet, don't ever truly grow up. :toast:

3. Womanizing?
Hmm? Are you kidding? I'm a responsible subscriber to the progressive ideology, thank you. No womanizing for me.

Now boozing on the other hand ... err ... that comes later.

4. Congrats
Graduating from high school was one of the happiest events of my life. For me, it signified freedom. Graduating from college was more of an achievement, but I was much happier to get out of high school than high school.

Why the heck was Pat Robertson glaring at you? If he was there, and you ticked him off, then you must have done something right. Have a great life! Enjoy tonight. :bounce:

9. I think I've got a reputation
as one of the far-left. Oh, right, and I'm a secular humanist.

Really, I just think he can't stand me.

15. Well ...
1) Because his grandson was graduating.
2) He had security with him about three times the size of me, and he's on the Board of Trustees, so they probably wouldn't have given me a diploma if I tried it.
3) Why thank you.

16. Board of Trustees, eh?
Is it a religious private high school?

And I should that a man of faith doesn't need bodyguards. How odd. Kind of like the Pope driving around with bullet proof glass. Hmmmmm....

24. No, it's not.
It's just elitist.

Really, the parochial schools around here aren't really that well-respected nationally. So, though they'd probably fit his family better, they wind up with me. Fun, fun.

26. I'm just glad you were there to make him uncomfortable
Did you happen to be Valedictorian? That would be total divine justice! I asume you weren't, though, since you didn't mention giving a speech. But DAMMIT I'd have loved to hear the speech you might have given. Anything that gave ol' "Rape me anally, please, you muscled big-boned heathen gay stud!" Pat a heart attack would have been perfect.

Or if not, if you won the philanthropy, ethical behavior, moral behavior, or righteous living awards, that would be divine justice as well.

:-)
