(Pictures coming a little later, because I now have a Photobucket account.)

Anyway...she sits on the edge of the nest and regurgitates into two tiny beaks (I can see them!).

1. I can't wait
to see the pictures! Wait until they get a little bigger, they look like little bowling pins sitting up in the nest. How wonderful that you get to see this so close.

3. That is amazing...
There is a property that we tend to that has a wood duck on a nest with four eggs for the hatching...she comes out into the yard everytime we are at the property...

5. That is cool. Our robins hatched the other day
I can't believe the cat has not ransacked them yet.

6. What color are her feathers?
Edited on Sat May-29-04 07:38 PM by Lou_C
You should get some worms and place them in a bowl so that she can feed her babies.

Her belly and cheeks are rust-colored. She has a little dark spot at the center of her throat, surrounded by a white breast. Everything else is iridescent green.

edit: color corrections

9. Humming birds don't eat worms
They eat almost all flower nectar, supplemented by a few very small insects and spiders.
