1. He sounded like a PNACer on the Daily Show...

I dont understand the fascination...it's like he gets admiration just for being a decent person.

Who gives a shit?

2. he said
he is looking forward to bush coming to campaign for him in arizona.

it's like the people that are in love with him never actually listen to him speak.

3. Why would................
any self-respecting Republican look forward to having that Albatross campaign for them. Any smart Republican would want to distance themself from the Disaster Monkey right now. I guess there aren't very many smart Republicans around.

4. I haven't seen people here "in love with him"
but I have seen people understand that he would help the ticket win. The lastest CBS poll backs that up.

I don't believe he should be the vice-presidential nominee, but I do understand that the people are going to decide this election are NOT the far-lefties. McCain is, rightfully, respected by a lot of people in this country.

Here, we want to just fight the right. But a lot of the country is sick of the fighting on both sides, and a bold bipartisan move would appeal to them.

6. LOL
I respect him for his service and I like that he pokes Bush's eye here and there, but he seems like he's some sorta masochistic freak for backing Bush after what they did to him in SC.

7. Perhaps McCain is just being the loyal Republican

so he can be a viable candidate in 2008.

Opposing a sitting President from his own party - especially one who has the nomination wrapped up - would kill his chances for the future.
