Gender: Undeclared

This seems to have disturbed some DUers. Some assumed I was female and one used he/she to refer to me.

Why is that question in the profile? Couldn't it be reserved for a singles forum?

Surely there are people who don't want their posting judged on the basis of sex instead of content, who don't think people should have to make their private parts public in order to post, or who are totally opposed to patriarchal gender roles?

On second thought, no, I'm probably the only one who didn't declare a gender.

What the hell does it matter if someone declares or not? If one declares, one does it voluntarily and obviously doesn't mind people knowing. If one doesn't declare, then one doesn't want people to know.

Anyone who has an issue with that, and raises it as an issue, is being quite inappropriate. If they don't like it, tough beans for them, eh?

I was going to boast about being genderless in a political forum, but I checked my profile. I didn't even give it a thought when I checked 'male'. But the name SoDesuKa doesn't tell you much.
