Computer Question
My Windows Media Player automatically closes a quarter second after opening it - actually, I don't think it opens at all...also the icon for it turned into a standard non-descript symbol...Any ideas on how to fix this?? I can't download the news and what not that are posted here or elsewhere.

Thanks

1. Re-install it....
It might have gotten pooched.
You might have clicked on some video that had the MS media player
exploit and your anti-virus program quarantined the executable.
Re-installing it should return it back to normal.

4. You're in reduced (minimized?) mode.
There should be a button somewhere (sometimes detached, in the lower-right) that will allow you to to back to normal mode.

5. Windows Media Player sucks, but if you must have it
My daughter's did the same thing not long ago, and it turned out to be a nasty little virus named pup.exe that was responsible. Might want to check and make sure you don't have it.
