Peeing in the shower: acceptable or no?

I saw this mentioned in a "men sitting down to pee" thread and it reminded me of a huge debate that some co-workers last summer (Dolo A, Rotten was there, she played a huge part in this debate) about if it was considered acceptable to pee in the shower while bathing?

I was in the no crowd, even though I know that urine is mostly sterile when it leaves your body. I made my point by stating that it seemed like a waste of a perfectly good shower, and why can't you either do it before or wait until after. But many others piped in with a yes, with the justification cries of "its all going down the drain!" and "You're using soap! What's the diff?"

How do y'all feel about it? I realize that there are more important issues out there (certainly more tasteful ones; but when has taste ever stopped the Lounge), but this caused a mini-firestorm with my former co-workers, and polarized the many on the crew into the "shower-pee'ers" and the "unadventurous, inefficient" lot.

Mods, hope this doesn't cross the bounds.

peeing in the shower was a big no-no.

Now that they take showers instead of baths, I'm nowhere near as concerned with it. If you gotta do it, do it. Hot running water and soap will kill any residual pee cooties!
