2. "The Pretentiousness Tour" or "30 Years of Boring Tripe"
I'm sorry, that was rude of me. We all have our likes and dislikes.

3. Yeah, and I had to work 'till 10 pm or I'd have gone
I'm curious why they chose Nashburg to open it with. I'm sorry I missed it. They put on a very good show, generally. Unlike so many bands, Rush doesn't overpower the venue. The sound is remarkably clear. I like to contrast them with Gilmour's Pink Floyd, who seem to enjoy causing physical pain, and who don't care if you can discern the individual notes as long as you can see the flying pig.

I would have loved to hear the stuff from Test For Echo performed live. Ah, well. Going to see my beloved Little Feat in Chattanooga in June. Can't wait for that one!

4. I have seen them in concert 5 times through the '80s & 90's.
Every show was awesome. They rock.
I have to agree with you on them not overpowering the venue.
I also saw Pink Floyd in concert & was disappointed because the special effects completely over took the music. And I LOVE Pink Floyd.

5. I saw Rush several times in the late 80s/early 90s, too, and they
were great in concert!! Cool laser show.

16. I saw them in the late seventies several times, check out those mullets...

What the hell were we all thinking back then. I especially like the mullet and toupee combo that Neil Peart is sporting.

6. Wow...Neal Pert's broke again?
That's how I teased my neighbour in the late 70's...
(him)"Hey! Rush is going on tour!"
(me) "Oh? Pert's out of money again, eh?"

8. Red Sector A then the drum solo? I'm impressed!
Red Sector A has a man-killing drum score, so to go from that song to a drum solo is no mean feat. But they give him a little rest before 2112, so that's good.

Then again, I saw The Show of Hands--Red Sector A, drum solo, Spirit of Radio. Three man-killers in a row.

10. Now that is a show.
I wouldn't even have minded that they left out Freewill. But what a shame that Resist is the only thing from Test For Echo. And precious little from Hemispheres, too. It must be thrilling to have such a great body of work to draw on, despite the albums that disappointed. Rush is still a solid candidate for best power trio after all these years. They rock my world.

If I could pick one song to have them play for me live, it would be Limbo.

13. I had a blast
Just wish my seat was closer to the stage. They are amazingly talented musicians, and I always enjoy their shows. I'm thinking of possibly going to the Atlanta show in several weeks.

I was happy to finally meet you and your son. Hey, I just realized you're the first DU'er I've met in the flesh.

12. LOL
Alex's son sounds like quite a jerk, at least when he's drunk. But Lifeson certainly didn't deserve what the Miami cops did to him. I hope he sues them successfully. (And I can only wonder at the attraction of Miami to rich white boys. Couldn't he have gone to the Carribean or something?)

11. I saw them once--
My impression was like the albums--

Great _technical_ musicians, but kind of lacking in soul.

I never got the fanaticism.

17. All you haters can KISS OFF! Rush Rocks and puts on a great show!
They are playing here in Virginia Beach on the 29th and ive got my Tickets! Saw them during the Moving Pictures, Grace under pressure AND Power Windows tours and they always put on a great show.
Rush Rocks! What do you hate Canada or something?
I guess some people like bands who all sound like Limp Bizket or one guy rapping to a looped drum beat to think thats music.

Rush the band is to music, what the other Rush is to talk radio.

Absolute SHIT.
