6. I'm voting for Glengarry Glen Ross because...
...it's an under-rated movie, and I really enjoy it. But, there are some excellent movies on that list.

10. Can only have 10
I too really liked Heat, but don't know if it ranks in the top 10.

Same with Devil's Advocate. There are probably a few others...

I had just hooked-up my surround sound when the video was released.

9. Best film, or best performance?
In many ways, I think Carlito's Way was his best performance, even better than Serpico. I think the best film he was in was Glengarry Glenn Ross, though.

Man, he was in a lot of good movies. The Insider is also one of my favorites.

21. Devil's Advocate
C'mon, it must have been great fun to get to play the Devil.

The best line of the film--Pacino "I'm the ultimate humanist"

pure fun.

24. Didn't he look like he was having a blast in that one!
That's not the kind of story I like, but I had to see it because I knew it would be a lot of fun to watch him in that role.

16. GF 1 & 2 were his best... GF 3 - his worst...
He just didn't act like "Michael" in III, he acted more like Colonel Slade in "Scent of a Woman."

23. Out of these films, I think his best performance was "Dog Day Afternoon"
but that the best films were "Godfather" I & II. I also think he had a great, and definitely overlooked, performance in "Donnie Brasco." His 'over-the-top' performances, which he does well, get all the attention (and parody) but this film was a reminder that he is also great at subtle, understated performances.

25. Yeah, Dog Day is a "Pacino film"...
...in the sense that it's a star vehicle.

In spite of Brando's top billing for Godfather, it's really an ensemble piece.

26. I agree with you (that is probably his best performance)
He was also astoundingly good in the otherwise wretched "Donnie Brasco" (one of the few times he's risen above horrible material)
