No offense, but I don't like these threads.

With the possibility that things could get Soviet/Nazi bad in a decade or two, shit like this is a bad idea.

I mean, don't get me wrong, this is nothing personal and people can do what they want.

I just think it's a bad idea. It's a nice, convenient photo file of DUers and our identifying marks.

Call me paranoid, and if we were thinking only of the current year, I would be.

But I am thinking longer term than that.

As you point out, people can do what they want. Here they don't even have to post pics of themselves. Just tats. My remark about the gallery was a way of paying my compliments to the tats that have been posted.

I wanted a tat for years. I took a year to decide what I wanted, and another 4 months to be sure I didn't change my mind. It has a meaning that is important to me, and I don't think I will ever regret it. Tats done in haste, wihtout much thought could just end up being ugly, colored scars.
