2. what is the service that is supposedly being terminated?
Sobig.f is in attachments that end .pif and .scr. Subject lines include Thank you!, Wicked screensaver, That movie, etc. Nothing like what you're talking about--more disguised to look personal. File sizes are over 100kb, all garble.

I see a lot of spam (well, popups, really) warning of some phony threat to my computer, my service, or my privacy and appearing to be from Microsoft or other legitimate companies. Yours is most likely spam.

3. I've received three of these notices in the past week . . .
It doesn't say what the service was for . . .

4. I don't look at them, so I can't tell you.
They wind up in my spaminator box, not in the "known spam" folder, but in the "suspected spam" folder. I've received about eight of them in the last couple of days, and though the sender is always slightly different, the subject line is virtually identical.

5. I got one better than that
It said they had taken $235.48 from my account because I was a 'pornographic webmaster' (sorry, I'm just a regular webmaster of an actor, a church, a doctor, and an intercultural realtions specialist). They asked me to submit my credit card number to them if this was a mistake. Yeah. Sure.

6. Maybe I should look at these things
just to enjoy a little laugh. Just wanted to make sure they weren't more dangerous than lame-assed scams.

7. Nope, different repititive spam
My recurring spam yells "YOUR PAYMENT IS LATE" which is some sort of financial scam and "Do you remember me" which is always viagra.
