If we're able to perfect cold fusion using Pons-Fleischmann cells of platinum and palladium--will running out of palladium be as big a problem as running out of fossil fuels? What about the fact that platinum, palladium, and deuterium are all a lot more expensive than oil? How long would it take for all the palladium in the world to run out if all of the world's current energy needs were put to rest by Pons-Fleischmann cold fusion?
