Anyone have a secret for controlling leaf miners

my columbines are showing a bad infestation this year, and if I pick evey leaf, the plants will be bare.

1. well, until the experts get here with advice

mine would be to take 1/2 of the leaves, and run them through the blender with enough water to puree an adequate amount of 'spray'.
Put the liquid in a sprayer and spray the plants.

one of the oldie but goodie organic remedies.
