It was rewarding. I do not work for SBC nor am I in a union. I do, however, support union workers. I am in Jobs with Justice,
http://jwj.org, and we promise to "be there" with other workers in their struggles.
It was fun and the SBC workers really appreciated the support. While I was there I saw people drive by and express their support by waving their hands and/or honking their horns.
I don't know if most understand that when union workers lose, all workers lose or if they just do not like the phone company.
So, if you are in an area where the SBC workers are striking, how about giving your fellow workers an hour of your day. It IS appreciated!
An injury to one is an injury to all: IWW (who had it right 100 years ago but were harrassed by the government and the more centrist labor leaders such as Samuel Gompers).
