Do Different Brances Of the Armed Forces Attract Different Types Of People
For those with a military background or familiarity with people in the Armed Forces.

Would you say that different brances attract different 'types' of people into them?

For instance, does a balls-out, tough-as-nails, gung-ho type of person go for, say, the Marines over the Navy?

Is a clear-thinking, calm, intelligent person more likely to go into the Air Force than the Army?

Are the different brances really that different in terms of the type of people who sign up to join them?

1. It may or may not be important, but
I never knew any Marine who ever respected any Zoomie, and I never knew any Marine who ever feared any Dogface or Squid.

This is not a scientific poll.

2. I think they do attract different types of people.
Bear in mind, I have never served but I've observed that Marines are kind of macho types...Navy folks are more the "gentleman Jim" types, Air Force folks tend to be impetuous and risk takers and Army folks are pretty regular.
