1. I pour some vodka in a glass with ice
and I drink it while holding a celery stalk in one hand and staring a picture of Snap-e-Peppy (or whatever the hell that stuff is).

2. Mine's a bit more complicated.

Marinate liberally (like that word) with vodka.
Add celery stalk.

4. With gin............
Than any/all of the above. I'm partial to V8 as a base. Cocktail onions make a great garnish, too.

6. That sounds good!
I use:

vodka
spicy V8
half a lemon
tabasco
celery salt
fresh black pepper
worcestershire

and sometimes horseradish

I'm going to try adding the cayenne, olives and hot peppers, though, that sounds really good.

That tabasco bloody mary mix isn't bad if you add some fresh lemon juice and extra spices.

7. I never
thought of the lemon juice...I'm going to try that...

I used to think that putting horseraddish in a bloody was kind of repulsive...but going down to the Colorado river and hanging at one of the dock bars...they use horseraddish...it was pretty dam good...so now I'm hooked...

thanks for the lemon juice idea...I'm going to try that...

10. Ever had a Bloody Beer?
Edited on Sat May-22-04 02:04 PM by trof
Half and half BM mix and beer?
I was once told by an elderly English bartender that this was the original Bloddy Mary.

on edit: a Bloddy Mary is a Bloody Mary with an English accent.
;-)

12. You know what else is good that Americans seem to have never heard of?
A shandy (also British)--mix about 2/3rds beer with 1/3 ginger ale (or half and half). Tastes just like Zima. I love 'em on a hot day.

11. With ice cold gin and vermouth--I call it, a martini, heh.
Once you get used to a good martini, you don't fool around with margaritas, tequila sunrise, gimlets, or screwdrivers, IMHO, heh.

16. Clamato? Cayenne pepper? Olives?!?! What, no bartenders here?
Here's mine which I learned and *perfected* behind the bar in NYC:

Fill glass halfway with cubed ice
Pour your 3-count of vodka
Add Worcester sauce - a couple of shakes
Add a healthy spoon or more of horseradish, a couple-a shakes of Tabasco, a healthy few shakes of celery salt, a couple of turns of fresh-ground pepper from the pepper mill, a few squeezes of fresh lemon AND lime, add regular V8 (or tomato juice, if you prefer), shake. Garnish with a wedge of lime and a celery stick (optional).

And, there ya have it.
