If you have the Real player on your PDA and a (relatively) fast Internet connection, you should be able to listen to Air America. I don't know what bit-rate they stream their audio at, but anything over 48kbs will probably sound little choppy at times if you are listening to the stream over anything slower than a GPRS/1XRTT cellphone network.

I have a PalmOne Treo600 smartphone and use the Cigular GPRS cellphone network for my Internet connection. I don't personally use Real for audio, I use pTunes which only decodes Shoutcast audio streams. I can sometimes listen to audio up to 42kbs, but that's kind of stretching it a little. Sprint's 1xRTT network is a bit faster than GPRS and might be better for wireless Internet access.

I can't really help with pointing out a good internet capable PDA, but if you are looking for a 'smartphone', consider the Treo600. ;)
