1. I hope they renew it for my husband's sake
His life will have no purpose if there isn't a new Trek series on the air.

2. I watched it through about the first three episodes of this year...
...but finally just gave up. The disjointed plotline, weak characters and constant cheap sex stunts finally wore me down.

There hasn't been a good ST since TNG...

3. Enterprise is foul.

The concept was novel, but it's my opinion that if they were going to do a prequel to the original series, then it should have been in the cheesy style of the original. Now THAT would have been a fun show. Instead, it feels like Voyager all over again.

I think it's time for the Star Trek franchise to take a new direction. Every series doesn't have to be about a crew. Why not focus on a singular character, like George Takei's Captain Sulu?

4. Next up: "Reality Trek"
Five red-shirted ensigns are beamed down to a yet-unexplored planet in the Gamma quadrant with only a replicator, a phaser and an old copy of Life magazine.
There they must see if they can avoid being used as a live host by the planet's 15-foot long insect-like beings.

6. For the record...
I think it is starting to become something, these last dozen episodes Ive grown to like, which swayed my judgement to want to see more. It definetly deserves another year. Prequels are hard, they are doing a decent job of not violating established trek history (or future I should say).

9. Wrong.
They threw in The Borg, and had a pre-Fderation ship and doctor get rid of them.

YEAH RIGGGGHHHHTTT!!!

10. I must have missed that episode
Ive gotten pretty good at explaining potential 'conflicts' in Trek, I see myself as a nitpicking, nitpicker.

11. Put it out of it's misery & get back to the future.
isn't it bad enough that our generation has to drive 55 instead of 65
and now Star Trek goes back to before warp 9, next thing people will be saying there are deitys.

14. It deserves another chance,
but moving it to Fridays is the kiss of death.

That's how they killed the Original, ya know.

15. I like it.
It's not as good as STNG or DS9 (my favorite) but I like it better than Voyager OR even than most of the original STOS episodes!

And so long as I am committing heresy, I think the Trek franchise got BETTER once Roddenberry passed away.

16. That's a valid observation, Woody.
Roddenberry had a tendency toward tunnel-vision, and explicitly eschewed conflict among the crew. It made for some milquetoast storytelling, which is why TNG did get better after he was forced out, and DS9 was so compelling.

Why did VOY suck so bad? Because Braga was thinking with his dick, and gave his girlfriend too much story.

18. Overall, I liked Enterprise
for the first two seasons. This season has sucked royally, IMO. I don't think there is a single episode in the entire Xindi arc that I've actually sat through to the end. Episodes which were self contained were better, IMO, like the Hoshi one (the beauty and the beast ep), the Trip one (with the clone) and the Phlox one (who's minding the store). But I hope it goes back to being a series about space exploration and the history of Starfleet and the Federation as a reference to before TOS, and shows how we developed friendships and alliances before Kirk went out of his way to screw lots of those things up. (Don't get me wrong--I loved TOS, but cfome to think of it, sometimes Bush seems more like Kirk than any other president)

I like the characters, I like development, and since my favorite series in the ST world is DS9, I would like to see it developing more along those lines than as a Voyager clone, the one I hated most of the Trek series.

19. It's really not a Trek. But it's a good action-adventure sci-fi show!
Which is how I think of it.

Trip is still a jackass, despite hobknobbing with T'pol, and the Captain is a fool.

The only interesting character with any personality is Dr. Phlox.
