3. Oh yeah? look what I've got ahead of me tonight.
I have to work a 9pm-7am shift. I have to drive about 430 miles. I get one 15 minute break when they load my truck up in Michigan.

The guy who usually does the run quit the other night without notice. I've been waiting in the wings for a permanent run, so guess who gets to do the all-nighters until next week? If I hadn't told my boss that I wouldn't do this permanently, he would probably try to stick me with it.

6. Yeah, it can be a really good job
But there are times when I'd rather be doing something else. Breakdowns, delays at the docks, long hours all can make the job suck.

Luckily, I'll be getting an eight hour turn here pretty soon that pays $120 a day. Home every night. It's still six days a week but it's a big improvement over what I've been doing. Hours are noon-eight.
