I would prefer France. My reasons aren't that rational: I just think that France has better weather and because I do speak some French.

It has the best cooking as well as the best wines, cheese, vegetables; the language sounds like music; their culture has always been more accepting of minorities than German culture; they are less likely to worship their leaders; they have an anarachistic streak in them that is more fun-loving than political; they are not a rigid people.

53. Having neutrality bred into my bones, how about

Switzerland? You get both German and French, as in language, food, etc., and when you get tired of either you can always go to the Italian or Romantsch speaking parts.

When I grew up we would often go and have breakfast at the revolving tower in Stuttgart and the go to the Alsace for lunch and be home for dinner.

Anyway, if all goes well, I,LL be in Burgundy in a couple of weeks. Yeah
