I need help -- I'm in charge of coming up with an image/theme

for my local democratic club's annual garden party. One idea was a democratic donkey with flowers in its hair or wearing a floral bonnet or something. Or can anybody think of anything else that would join the idea of garden party to something appropriately political this year. Any images or leads to images would be greatly appreciated.

1. You could have a bush or shrub that needs some trimming.

You could sell turns at clipping the shrub with trimmers for $1 or something to raise funds.

That's more of a party gag, but it sprang immediately to mind upon reading your post.
