The story (or reason) behind picking your avatar?

Mine is of Sparky the coolest mascot in sports. The 1996 Arizona State Sun Devils Football Team was the team that sparked my interest in sports. Jake Plummer, JR Redmond, Pat Tillman, and Keith Poole were players that seemed to give it their best on the field and always performed well under crunch time. It was one of the most exciting and fun times I had was that 1996 season. From the shutout of the defending National Champs, to the triple(maybe double) overtime game vs USC, the huge comeback vs UCLA and even the heartbreaking loss to Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. I also like the way the avatar looks so I picked, I don't think I'll ever change it unless I have to. Anyways what is your story?

2. The little golf cart guy used to be my sigline.

But, I got to thinking that he was really large and took up space, so when avatars were available for upload, I made him into an avatar.

5. I absolutely agree

I read 3 or 4 books about him and enjoyed every one. He hasn't really recieved alot of recognition for alot of the stuff he pushed for racial equality. He was not afraid to do what was unpopular or considered what was "political suicide" he did what he felt was right and that's how everyone should do their job as President of the United States. *sigh* Too bad we don't have a President like that sitting in the White House today.

4. I used to have a little pink candy heart...

with "GET BENT" printed on it. Someone teased me that it was offensive and hurt their feelings. Even though they were joking I decided that it was reflecting a really negative attitude on my part. In an attempt to make myself feel more upbeat I switched to the music avatar. :)

18. Italian pride

When I started here at DU, I was in my "I-really-hate-the-fucking-Sopranos" phase, so part of the reason I chose the da Vinci drawing was as a point of Italian American pride. Now, I just like the way it looks...
