2. LOL...
Abe Vigoda is one of the people I KNOW is alive, though it still startles me.

Quick: Kay Ballard - dead or alive?

6. Yes, she's still alive
and I only know that because a couple years ago, I met my parents in Vegas. I offered to take them to Siegfried and Roy, but they declined because they said it was "too expensive". So we took a jaunt to Laughlin, and there was a marquee saying "Live: KAYE BALLARD!"

Mom said she really really wanted to see that instead of S&R. So, sadly, I bought the twenty-some dollar tickets and we sat on folding chairs and watched a one-woman show by Kaye Ballard.

She was pretty good - told lots of tales about Paul Lynde and Jimmy Durante, did a few songs.

But I would've bet my cats that she was dead until I saw that marquee.
