Another OMG, he's not DEAD?! moment...
watching Larry King. I was SURE Jack Klugman was dead. But then, I would've bet June Taylor was dead before today.

3. I remember that...
I think I lumped him in with Walter Matthau - who played Oscar in the movie version of The Odd Couple.

He looks great, though!

10. She needs fresh human cells
to keep her face-lifts intact. As it is, the poor girl's botoxed within an inch of her life.

did you WATCH that Dick Van Dyke reunion last week? Kreee-IST! Dick looks good, Rose Marie is on her death bed, Millie looks like MTM's grandmother, but MTM is still fresh-faced and lithe. Of course, her face isn't really hers, but hey, it's Hollywood!

14. wow..
very interesting. I hadn't heard that story.

I believe Simon is rough on women - his plays have never featured a really well-developed female role. He understand men, though.

Fun fact - I haven't heard in recent years if it still goes on, but Johnny Carson hosted, for many many years, a poker game with Carson, Steve Martin and Neil Simon as regulars. I'd kill to be in that game just for the stories.

But Steve Martin was in Three Amigos so I see how you could be confused.

12. Feh...
Joey Bishop is a fake rat-packer. He didn't show up until much later.

If he was a REAL rat-packer, he'd have died years ago. The man has no sense of timing.

17. LOL...
Sinatra died at 82. Martin was 78.

Both exceeded the average American lifespan.

You're gonna look pretty silly when you're old, in the hospital, dying of nothing.

18. Sammy Davis Jr was 60-ish

Think how long they might have lived without the bad habits.

Excluding wayward buses and small planes, of course.

And, as for my demise, I'm already well on the way to senility ...

19. oh pshaw...
Who cares how long Sinatra lived? He made it to a ripe old age, and had a million-selling album a few years before he died. He lived a full, rich life and made it to an age most of us can just pray to reach.

It's silly to argue that smoking or drinking or whoring killed Sinatra. He was 82. Most people die long before that, even those with "healthy lifestyle choices".
