Just discovered the "Red House Painters"...
...and I'm loving them. I just bought their CD "Old Ramon" which is a couple years old. Which of their other CDs do the "RHP" fans out there recommend?

1. Ghosts of the Great Highway
by the lead singer, what ever his name is.

2. I almost never pay attention to...
...the names of band members but I have a RHPs CD right here. The lead singer's name is Anthony Koutsos. Oh, and thanks for the recommendation.

3. I am pretty sure that the Red House Painters singer is named:
Mark Kozelek (sp?). Maybe he uses a psudonym on the record you have.

I tend to prefer earlier RHP,the stuff that came out on label 4AD in like 1994.

4. You're probably right.
I was reading from the little CD booklet which has their names but no picture to match the names with. Anthony Koutsos's name was listed first so I assumed that he was the lead singer.

6. I saw them in a dive bar in Oakland
In late 1990 before they left to find fame in England. The show was all noise and feedback and random sounds. I was pretty surprised when the records came out a couple years later.
