N Y diners chew over $1,000 omelette
BBC News snip:

A restaurant in New York is offering something special to customers with expensive tastes - a $1,000 omelette.

Diners at Norma's in Le Parker Meridien hotel can now order the "Zillion Dollar Frittada", a Spanish omelette with lobster and 10oz (280g) of caviar.

Restaurant manager Steven Pipes said it began as a lesser dish, but his chefs "decided to have some fun with it".

"We thought we should really make something that would be a spectacular feast for a celebration," he said.

I will make you an omlette that is probably twice as good and then I'll kick your ass for being stupid enough to buy this thing.

3. I can see spending money for
good food to an extent, but something like an omlette... give me a break. How can you not feel guilty eating something like that. You could take the same money and feed 30 people for a week.

5. Remember, it's not the omelette, it's the 10 ounces of caviar!

6. And also remember, no one has ordered it yet
so actually no one IS eating it.
