Tonight my bowling league gets their prize money.. I will be handing out $49,291.11..

No one will be late tonight :evilgrin:

Then we all meet in Vegas this Saturday for our tournament and about $15K more to be given away :) (bowling)..Some always win big by gambling too:)

Sounds like a good time. So you are in a bowling league that offers cash awards at the end of the season to the tune of $49K?

WOW! When I was a kid and bowled in a league, all we got was a trophy at the end of year. Even my dad only ever got trophies.

Does your league cost a ton of money to bowl in, or is the cash awards given from outside?

:) and I am a good money manager.. No one ever stiffs the league for money owed :)

comes from all playing fees, I take it?

That's a healthy weekly fee, but assuming three games of bowling, not bad, really.

4. $10.90 a week per person goes into the prize fund

and we sell 50-50 tickets and have a strike frame each week too..
we bowl 37 weeks,,,,whew!!

the hotel in Vegas gives us a $15 per person "rebate" and the bowling center gives us a $10 per person rebate..

Our last place team 22nd place will end up with close to $1200.00

Well done! Sounds like a good system. Lots of fun, and even the last place team gets enough money to go out and have a nice celebration. Yeah, it's less money than they've paid for the year, but it's like setting money aside every week for a final year party, so comes out like free money. That's cool!!

5 guys can have a heck of a party for $1,200.

37 weeks seems like an unusually long season, but that's nice.
