Cut and pasted from the MAJORITY REPORT blog.
My best friend explained very carefully to her 6-year-old son that I'd married another woman. A day or two later she called him in to dinner. As he left his friends he said, "I gotta go, Maria and Freda are coming to dinner. They're two ladies who got married."

His friend asked incredulously, "THEY'RE BOTH WOMEN?"

With the beautiful innocence of a 6-year-old, he responded calmly with a shrug, "Yup, it was just a coincidence."
