7. OUCH!!!!
My condolances.

The cable industry is nothing more than a segregation of mini-monopolies. There is no true competition and they can charge what they like.

I wonder if they're hiring...

6. Do you feed S-video or Component video to a high resolution monitor?
By high resolution monitor, that would include an "HDTV" monitor or any more conventional TV that has AUX inputs. My TV is rated for 600 lines resolution. I used "composite" (RCA phono jacks, the oldest style) to feed digital satellite video to my TV. It was much better than broadcast or cable.

Did you get a DVR/Tivo like device to store shows digitally?

I'm as excited as you are!!

8. Just have a regular 30 inch TV. Am thinking about upgrading.
Don't know much about TV's. Been concentrating too much on computers.

10. it would probably benefit from using one of the AUX inputs
As opposed to using the "TV antenna" input, which is a threaded connector (type F).
