Saw Eddie Vedder Last night

I was at a benefit show in Seattle last night, Eddie Vedder played a surprise acoustic show. Before he started he said (mumbled) "Even if John Kerry is the 2nd worse president ever, he'd be better than the idiot in the White House right now."

Of course the crowd loved it. It was a good show as well ... Brad played, followed by Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready strapping on a Flying V and playing a bunch of UFO covers. It was great.

I am paraphrasing what Eddie said, as he was mumbling and I'd imbibed a few pints by then.

One of my friends who was there, an incorrigible wingnut, definitely did not like Eddie's little speech. It was priceless.

7. I love Eddie

He never minces words about Chimpy. You should hear "Bu$hleaguer" from their recent "Riot Act" album. That, and the live version of "Do The Evolution" from one of their 2000 'bootleg' live albums. Says "My name's George Bush and my son is an asshole." :D
