This just made my freakin' day, . . . no, week, . . . no, month!

I was just having my daily chat with my Repuke UPS driver, who I've known for about 6 years and all that time he's voted Repuke and all that time we've argued and kidded each other about it. He's called me all the liberal stereotype names etc. (all in good fun). Well, he just told me he re-registered as a Dem.!!!! I about fell down. He said it had to do with the way the Repukes were screwing the unions etc. He said he didn't know anything about Kerry so I enlightened him. Then I enlightened him on the bogus war etc. We talked at length and at the end he asked me for some of my Kerry bumper stickers!!! I loaded him up and sent him on his way. I'm gonna go celebrate with a few drinks. This is unfuckingbelievable!! Just had to share.

He could have just gone Independent if he was unsure! Think about that! Wow! He's really biting the bullet by going full on Dem. Very impressive. I always knew he was a smart guy and could never understand how he didn't see that we Dems support the working class way more than repukes. I guess it was inevitable that he would finally see the light. This gives me a lot of hope, I must say.

My Reagan admiring/Ollie North apologist/poll working 'R' mother expressed disgust and dismay with the Cheney regime during our semi-annual get together today. Could have knocked me over with a feather. She sat still for my "another empty-headed tool of the ultra right" rant and nodded in agreement!

This is the third such story I've seen on DU today. It's inspiring--I think people are finally waking up! It takes a hell of a lot to realize that you're wrong, and to admit it to yourself and others, but it looks like Chimpy has given people enough!
