A week and a half off, then start an externship at the public defenders office. No rest for the weary...just a few days in Vegas by the pool sipping oddly-colored drinks.

Yea Me!

--Now I just hope my grades allow me to return next year and serve as the president of my school's chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. ;-)

Mostly drug-related stuff up there. It's a satellite court in Ridgecrest, not even with the main branch in Bakersfield. So it should be relatively tame.

I have some friends that have climbed Denali, but I'll never make that. Maybe Whitney here in Cali. It's the next best thing.

But I'll certainly take you up on the beer!

13. These days, Denali is no longer a "feat" to climb -

and I hate it! Some approaches are still tricky, but there are so many inexperienced thrill climbers every year that the Park Service has a dude for nothing but clean-up of the trash they leave behind.

If you can do Whitney, you can probably do Denali with a decent (local) guide. Don't mind "real" climbers - just the ones who pay the helicopter to wait at each landing ledge!!

So, what's the committee thingy you want to get appointed to (sorry, not a law school doer!)?
